His experience includes senior roles in companies such as Norvic Shipping, CMB Bocimar, and Daiichi Chuo Kisen Kaisha. His career reflects consistent growth, strategic insight, and deep-rooted expertise in chartering and operations. Beyond work, he is an avid runner, participates in various Marathons, enjoys speaking at various shipping forums, and regularly engages with industry literature and developments.
Mr. Abhimeet Sharma holds the position of Executive Director and is one of the co-founders of BainBridge Navigation, overseeing the financial, commercial, and operational activities of the company. With a strong academic background that includes a bachelor's degree in marine engineering and a master's degree in shipping management and logistics, he has accumulated approximately 16 years of industry experience and has worn many hats throughout his career. Additionally, Mr. Sharma is a member of the Institute of Chartered Shipbrokers, London. Renowned for his expertise in identifying business opportunities, he excels in fostering and cultivating business relationships.
Mr. Aman Rawat presently occupies the role of Executive Director at BainBridge Navigation and is one of the co-founders, overseeing the Indian Ocean and Middle East desk. With an impressive track record spanning approximately 15 years in the shipping sector, he has cemented a commanding presence within the industry. In conjunction with his master's degree in Business Administration, Port, and Shipping Management, Mr. Rawat has worn multiple hats throughout his career, showcasing exceptional adeptness in fostering and cultivating business relationships.
Mr. Ankit Dhawan holds the position of an Executive Director at BainBridge Navigation and is one of the co-founders, where he leads the Far East Asia desk. Boasting more than 17 years of valuable experience in the shipping industry, he has established a formidable presence in the market. In addition to holding a master's degree in International Business and Marketing, Mr. Dhawan possesses expertise in FFA, Derivatives, and Options trading, which he effectively applies in his responsibilities at BainBridge Navigation.
Mr. Munish Mediratta is the Executive Director & one of the co-founder of the Company. Currently he's a part of the Handy, Tankers and Bunker departments at BainBridge Navigation. He holds a B.Com degree along with a Post Graduate Diploma in Information Technology (PGDIT). His prior professional experience spans organizations such as Norvic Shipping, CTI Shipbrokers, and Tanker Pacific Management, where he established new desks/offices & held various roles in Commercial shipping and operations. At BainBridge, Mr. Munish focuses on strategic leadership, organizational oversight, and aligning day-to-day functions with long-term goals. His responsibilities include guiding teams, supporting the company’s growth and ensuring operational consistency with the organization’s mission. Outside of work, he is passionate about nature, often exploring national parks and local food cultures. He is also interested in creating sustainable, nature-integrated & eco friendly hospitality experiences that promote environmental awareness and conservation.
Mr. Nihit Arora is the co-founder & Executive Director at BainBridge Navigation and holds a Master's degree in International Business, Marketing, and Shipping. He has an extensive background spanning over 20 years in the corporate sector, including 15 years in commercial shipping sector. During his tenure he has built strong bonds in the industry and is recognized for his result-oriented contribution across segments. He is currently spearheading the Southeast Asia & Atlantic desk with a vision of multidimensional growth for the organisation and people involved.
Apart from work, he engages in various social welfare activities to contribute back to society in his own way.
Mr. Björn Andersen is the Commercial Director of BainBridge Navigation’s Hamburg office and Head of the Atlantic Basin. He completed his German Apprenticeship as a Shipping Merchant and is a Member of the Institute of Chartered Shipbrokers (MICS). Over the years, he has gained extensive experience in dry bulk chartering and broking, having worked with several companies including Hanseatic Lloyd, HSB Hamburg Shipbrokers, E.R. Schiffahrt, Harper Petersen, F.H. Bertling, and also explored classic car restoration with Halle49. At BainBridge, he leads the Atlantic team and offices, with a focus on collaboration, operational efficiency, and expanding the company's global reach. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his three kids, working on classic cars, and playing basketball. He is also interested in languages, traveling, and engine restoration.
Mr. Shantanu Saxena pursued an MBA in Finance and Marketing from SP Jain Institute of Management & Research and holds a B.Sc in Nautical Science from BITS, India. He spent 12 years sailing as a Nautical Officer before transitioning to shore-based commercial roles. His past experience includes positions with A.P. Moller Maersk, Cargill, Louis Dreyfus, and Tata NYK,. Currently part of the Pacific Chartering Desk at BainBridge Navigation, Mr. Shantanu handles coal and iron ore shipments, applying his understanding of freight markets and vessel operations to ensure efficient execution and commercial outcomes. He brings a market-oriented approach backed by experience in negotiation, strategic planning, and global trade dynamics. Outside of work, he enjoys collecting stamps, writing, and occasionally playing the guitar. He is the author of “I Luv My Ferrari,” a reflection on performance and perspective. His interest areas include behavioral insights in trade, AI in commercial shipping, and language learning, with Mandarin on his radar.
Mr. Saurabh Gupta is part of the Tanker Chartering team at BainBridge Navigation. With an MBA in International Business (Oil & Gas Management), he brings prior experience from ACM Shipbrokers, JM Baxi, Optima Shipbrokers, and MENA Energy. At BainBridge, he commercially manages a fleet of chemical tankers alongside a six-member team. His focus and drive in chartering define his professional approach. Mr. Saurabh enjoys reading about geopolitics, travelling, movies, and shisha. He is keen to explore cargo trading, hedging, and FFAs.
Shikha Nirwal, a Chartered Accountant and Company Secretary, is the Chief Financial Officer at BainBridge Navigation. With over 15 years of experience across the shipping, BFSI, tech, and commodities sectors, she brings deep expertise in strategic finance, cross-border compliance, and risk management. Having worked with leading firms like Louis Dreyfus Commodities, Protiviti, and SIS Group, she has built a strong reputation for driving financial transformation, governance, and process excellence. Outside of work, Shikha enjoys reading finance literature, traveling, and exploring global cuisines. She’s keenly interested in start-up mentoring, ESG compliance, and the evolving role of AI in financial analytics.
